By default a non-root user can create files only in his/her home
Hi,
I installed Cent OS-4 in my PC.
The problem i am facing is i am not able to create directory inside /
home as well as in /opt.
While creating directory its saying Permission is denied.
What may be the reason for this.
And how can i create directory inside /home and /opt.
directory or /tmp. As root you can change permissions and create
groups. If you cannot create files or directories within your
/home/username directory, something is wrong.
Pls. suggest..
Regards,
Kirthila
