Hi
I have added a 2nd scsi disk. But there is no /dev/sdb
It has not been rebooted as it is a live server.
Should the drive be automatically detected? Is there a command that
can detect the drive or does this mean there is hardware problem?
Red Hat and SUSE solve this with:
rescan-scsi-bus.sh -w -l
See if you have that command.
Also, if you don't use LVM, you might want to
look at using the names at /dev/disk/* since
you've got some kind of dynamic disk adding
capability.
