Problem is Sun's JAVA, there is no 64 bit applet plugin for
Firefox/Mozilla/Seamonkey, "because there is no demand". You also have
to run similar tweaks to get other media formats running on 64bit. There
is a wrapper for running 32 bit plugin-ins for a 64bit firefox, but
nothing of that is nice.

It's a non-issue, the solution is to use the 32 bit version of Firefox
which runs fine on 64 bit Linux. I'm using 64 bit Fedora with the 32 bit
version of Firefox, the Java plugin works fine.
