How to get scsi_device * structure from /dev/sda.

Hi guys,
I am working on a 2.6.9 linux kernel. I need to know is
there a way to get scsi_device * structure from devfs i.e /dev/sda. I
can use scsi_device_lookup( ), but is there any other way to do it.
Any help appreciated
