I wonder how's ATI/AMD driver is since ATI/AMD's support is doing better
these days under Linux.
Improving. Current xf88-video-ati git has textured video support (but overlay
is still noticeably faster, at least on my X300).
I need the OpenGL accerlation part so I can't use Intel's onboard and
stuff.
Why can't you? OpenGL on Intel graphics hardware works fine here...
