Yes, no problem. Is anyone of you able to successfully use Sony Cyber-shot DSC-W55
digital camera in Linux?
What software do you use for that?
How do you connect? (USB?)
Depends on what you want.
If, like most people, you just want to copy/move files between camera and
computer: connect with USB. It will act as any other USB mass storage
medium, no program needed.
Yes, that would be enough.
And how about those MemoryStick Duo cards? Is the data written on them
available via USB too? (I mean card put into the camera, camera
connected via USB to the computer.)
I read that those MemoryStick Duo/MemoryStick Duo Pro cards use someDon't know. Just try. If they're meant to be used, they have to be read...
"copy-protection technology" ("MagicGate"), so I wonder if that would
cause any access problems or not.
Besides, if there is a DRM on them, just reformat the cards and get ri of
it. Dangerous nonsense, DRM encryption schemes. If you card corrupts,
chances for recevery of any data are zero.
Perhaps you have to use Sony software to access those data, or what?!...Don't ask youself that question. Just try it.
