Don't know. Just try. If they're meant to be used, they have to be read...
Besides, if there is a DRM on them, just reformat the cards and get ri of
it.
MagicGate is done in hardware, with a DRM component on both the host
device and the memory device.
IIRC, the DRM is activated by a flag in the file itself, and has to be
explicitly specified when the file is created. Files you create yourself
will not typically have this flag, and won't be "protected" by the DRM.
In that case, a MagicGate memory stick will function as a simple non-DRM
memory device.
In my personal experience, MagicGate memory cards used in my digital
camera are not DRM protected and can be read just fine on a
non-MagicGate card reader.
