Re: Asus M2A-MX and Wake On Lan doesn't work from poweroff nor from suspend

On a box I looked at, there is (auto)loaded a module called asus_acpi .
That is supposed to work around bios issues on laptops and make functions
such as battery and Q-fan work properly.

Good idea. The module is not loaded automatically. However, attempting
to modprobe the module manually fails:

FATAL: Error inserting asus_acpi (/lib/modules/2.6.22-14-generic/kernel/drivers/acpi/asus_acpi.ko): No such device

So apparently it's not intended for this motherboard. I even tried
putting it to /etc/modules, in case the problem would be that loading
other modules prevents it from being loaded, but nothing changed. (Is
this still possible, does udev/hotplug load stuff before the modules
in /etc/modules are? Well, I doubt this still would matter..)
