This is the first time I recall (what seems) a BIOS linked so tightly to
a specific vendor battery. I agree it might be worthwhile to ask for the
money back, and make it the battery vendor's problem.
I wonder what is Dell's "justification" for this policy, and why Dell is
not more clear about replacement battery policy from gitgo (AFAICT).
(I understand quality/safety/reliability, but make policy clear upfront)
