Is there any way to get an interface to transport pictures from a Canon
EOS D50 Camera? I'm coming up blank on an internet search.
Canon is notorious for not supporting open standards or GNU/Linux. They are
the Microsoft of hardware peripherals, and it should therefore be no
surprise that they only support Windows and possibly MacIntosh, but this I
do not know.
What you /could/ always try is check whether the camera supports access as a
regular USB storage device, and/or if the camera uses a memory card, you
can buy an external cardreader - they are not expensive and the Linux
kernel does support those - and connect that to your computer instead.
If neither of the two aforementioned options work for you, then I'm afraid
you're /foobarred.../
P.S.: Please do something about that signature of yours. Accepted Usenet
standards suggest keeping your signature to within 4 lines of text. 5
lines won't get you executed yet either, but half a page is really too hard
on the eyes and is as welcome on Usenet as spam.
Just my two cents... ;-)
