I've got one of the ion USB turntables (iPTUSB) and it shows up as
something like a sound card/device from what I can remember, I haven't
used it in a while.

I've only played with it a bit to see if it would work under linux.
It did work with audacity and I was able to record 2-3 albums/45's
using it.
