Looking for one GUI program for both email and news

Sylpheed: very nice one.
                con: often gives me 'protocol erro' when retrieving articles.
                     still alpha, mostly japanese environment on support.

emacs/gnus: con: Not GUI,
                     slow, lots of time needed to customise.
                Very capable

mozilla/NS6: bloated!!!

netscape 4.79: old

mozilla thunderbird: con: alpha, working poorly with x-win32 X server.
                             I don't use Console X at all.
                             need better integret with Mozilla Firebird.

Opera M2: email/news client sux IMHO.

Pan, Knode: News only slrn, pine: not GUI.

I think future was Firebird/Thunderbird. I like the brower integretion.

I was using netscape 4.79. For now I'm GNUS.
