You can run whichever version of mozilla strikes your fancy at the
moment of your choice. I suppose they're installed in different places
(or else you don't get any choice at all, so the question doesn't make
sense).

Remove the older version of the two. Again, I really don't see the problem.
I suspect that you have some unsaid hypotheses hanging around in realms
of your brain that I do not have access to. Maybe you think that
removing one version will ruin the other in some way? Is that it?
