I use on dyndns server indeed. Recently the dyndns server is not reachable
however. IIRC, the dyndns is just to translate the name to my
current IP. I don't quit the ADSL connection so my IP is not changing
constantly. Then why couldn't a people even ping my IP?

Should I do something on my host locally besides using the dyndns service?
(configure /etc/hosts, /etc/sysconfig/network,/etc/resolv.conf on RH8.0?) I
don't care about my local networking for the first step, the big issue is
that my friends cannot access www.mywebsite.com.
