Hi,

I run Debian 3.0. My system does not seem to boot w/o a initrd. I do not see
why the current kernel configuration should require an initrd (no exotic
hard drives, etc.), yet when I remove the initrd parameter from my my boot
loader config (grub), the system does not boot the kernel. How can I get rid
of the need for an initrd?

Thank you for your help.
