Hi everybody,

I just install SuSE Linux 8.2 and I can't use any ftp related stuff,
except Konqueror.

When I try to download something (ftp://somewhere) with Mozilla (1.4),
all I get is: 425 Failed to establish connection

With "ftp" in a Konsole, everything works until:

229 Entering Extended Passive Mode (variable number)

And nothing else happens until I press CTRL+C.

"wget" does approximatively the same:

maxilys@tinbox:~> wget
ftp://fr2.rpmfind.net/linux/SuSE-Linux/suse/i386/8.2/suse/i586/xntp-4.1.1-177.i586.rpm
--19:22:19--
ftp://fr2.rpmfind.net/linux/SuSE-Linux/suse/i386/8.2/suse/i586/xntp-4.1.1-177.i586.rpm
            => `xntp-4.1.1-177.i586.rpm.1'

==> TYPE I ... completed. ==> CWD
/linux/SuSE-Linux/suse/i386/8.2/suse/i586 ... completed.
==> EPSV ... failed. ==> PASV ...

And that's all until CTRL+C. The address is correct because I succeeded
to download the RPM with Konqueror.

There's no active firewall (if it matters). What do I have to do? I
can't live without command line ftp tools!

See ya,
