Hi Jeroen: it seems that my 2.4.21 kernel (Debian testing) handles ide
with modules whereas the append thing would work if it's compiled in. In
any case, even w/o the ide-scsi stuff all those modules are loaded which I
find a bit odd. Perhaps someone can shed some more light on this?
