Yes. Because 1) Myself and others come to the Usenet to hear what people
have to say about subjects, NOT to have the page cluttered with irrelevant
garbage.

2) Because if YOU can have a 8 line sig, then why not everyone? And if you
can have 8, why can't they have 16? And then you start seeing advertisements
in the sigs (even at 8 lines) which are nothing but spam.

Okay.

I will ignore your posts for 30 days and see to it that quite a few
others do too. (i'll contact them by email and you will go on the list.
Some of these are gurus that you would dearly love to help you out.)

Then there are all of those who are just sick of smartass punks who
would wreck this wonderful medium if we let them.

Take a hike. I'll tune back in in 30 days and see if you have grown
up a little.

You see, I'd LOVE to post a 10 line sig, but it isn't right, so I don't.

I have a website (there are free ones all over the place) where people
can go and read PAGES of material that you want them to see.

It can all be plain text.

<HTML><HEAD><TITLE>foo</TITLE></HEAD><BODY><PRE>

type away

</PRE></BODY></HTML>

That's it. A complete web page ready to go as soon as you fill it in.

If it's too long a URL, go to http://tinyurl.com and get a short one
like I did. It's free.
