I use uucp to send attachments. It behaves a little inconsistently, and I
am not sure to blame the client (Lotus Notes), or the way I am attaching it.
Sometimes the attached file is an attachment, other times it is in the body
of the email. Of course an attachment in the body of a mail is unacceptable
to clients. We are using postfix as the MTA.
The command I am using is:
uuencode qb103003.zip qb103003.zip | mail -s nohup user@mycompany.com
It seems to work better with smaller zips of text files. The file that I
need to zip is a large binary files. I have also tried the -m flag for base
64 encoding, with no luck.
