I have a bunch of files that need renaming on a Windows machine.

I need to turn

somethingorother.ext (Waste of Space)12345

into

somethingorother.ext12345

Now, at home I'd be able to simply say

$ rename ext\ \(Waste of Space\) ext somethingorother*

and it would be done. Can something similar be done at a DOS prompt?
