Put the right entries in /etc/resolv.conf . Problem?

Configuring X means running XFree86 -configure, and editing the
resulting config file. I don't know fron your description what you are
doing, but please don't!

Doesn't the man page for XFree86 tell you how? What about the various
howtos and the project pages on the web?
