I'm keeping all my data files (data, apps, MP3's, graphics, etc.) on
my XP machine, and backing up nightly to my RH9 box. The advantage is
having redundant copies of all data files.
But I wonder if it wouldn't be better to have the RH9 machine act as a
true file server to the XP box, and backup the RH9 files using a
different scheme, say to another drive, or tape.
It just seems that the Linux OS is designed primarily as a server
system and that I should be using it as such.
It's necessary that I use the XP as my main workstation, as 99% of my
work uses Win apps.
Any input or opinions appreciated.
