I've just bought a new PC so I want to install Linux on my old one.
It has a 40GB HDD plus a small 4.6GB secondary HDD. I've just bought
the latest Linux Format which has the Fedora Core 1 distro included.
Also, I have used Mandrake 8.1 in the past and got on okay with it.
Am I likely to run into any problems if I were to partition the 40GB
drive into two 20GB partitions and install Mandrake (probably 9.2
rather than 8.1) on one and Fedora on the other? What I mean by
problems is will the two installs conflict with each other rather than
"Is my hardware compatible etc"?
Basically, I just want to try both and decide which one to keep.
Thanks,
Pete.
P.S. Happy New Year to you all.
