OK :-) _I_ was mistaken, better misunderstood this important issue.

And miss out on all the fun? So far I have not used one Linux
distribution that needed no fiddling with configurations files.
The major reason why I had to compile a new kernel was to get two
sound-cards working. One is a a on-board Via 8233 the other is a PCI
Sound-blaster Live 5.1... but this would be new thread....
