My daughter has a Pogo with a Matrox display adapter. This summer it
started intermittently hanging[1], and the problem has gotten steadily
worse. I've already replaced the memory[2] and the power supply[3].
The dealer claims that it must be a software problem, but I don't
believe it, because I get the hangs under both eCS and SUSE, both in
games and in browsing.
Has anyone seen anything like this before? Also, is there any way in
Hell that it could be software related, as the dealer claims? I
certainly can't see it.
[1] Sometimes in the middle of a screen update. Once that happens I
can do a reset and the problem goes away; I don't need to turn
the power off.
[2] No big deal; I wanted to exspand anyway.
[3] Intermittent fan failure.
