Hi -
New to DVD (and all their formats). First thing I'm wondering is if
"mini-DVD" is just another name for VCD?
My problem is that I have an iso of a TV show burned to both CDRW and
CD-R. Both play under Windows. I think it would play under Linux if I
got a plugin for xine. But what I want is to play it on my DVD player
(JVC550). Both the CDRW or CD-R came up as "non-playable disc". This
player supports VCD on CDRW and CD-R. I think I read somewhere there's a
trick/util during burning to make the player interpret the disc as a DVD -
anyone know about that or think it would work here? (The JVC player plays
wma/jpeg/mp3 CDRW and CD-Rs just fine). Could I have burnt the 700M iso
to a DVD and had it work that way? I have a Liteon 411 if it matters and
every DVD I've burned runs fine on the JVC player (DVD-R, DVD+RW). All
the media I've used is Maxell or Memorex.
