What gui? You use the gui you want touse. Mine is perfectly stable, and
has been for ten years.

You are joking, because you are wrong.

No, it doesn't lock. If you get a lock out of X windows, you have a
hardware problem - driver, or badly configured driver.

??? What's a "workgroup"? Is that some windows thing?

What's a "swf"? A swapfile? I have a couple, but only in cache ...
looks binary. Must be some windows thing.

Mozilla is perfectly stable, and anyway, who cares? A browser is only a
browser! I use it about once a week!

Eh? What's wrong with "cp"? Are you unaware that you don't need
windows silly stuff to copy disks?

What's video "in"? You mean pass a tv signal in through your graphics
card? I thought one needed a video capture card for that. No wonder
you have video hardware problems!

They're "missing" because you didn't put them there! You are trying to
compile something and you're incompetent at it. Stop. Desist. Accept
personal responsability for your incompetence, and talk to the author if
you want to join with him in compiling his work!

> No support for my RAID gear unless I work out how to compile the kernel,

Your "RAID gear" is a software raid with a proprietary driver only
available in a kernel pre-compiled by the manufacturer. Throw it out.
It doesn't need "support" since it doesn't do anything!

> or compile modules for it.

No - it's not something you need to "learn", any more than you need to
"learn" to open doors. And compiling the kernel is the most natural
act.

Never heard of it. What is it?

Eh? Why? Don't be silly! That's daft, flimsy and nuts. Use tar. There's
no trick, nothing to learm. It's normal. Don't do weird things.

Of course.

So? Are you too dense to realise that the server is not running or is
not enabled or connections from yoru own machine are not enabled to it?
Where's the difficulty? Mental?

See! If it cannot be found, then it is not there.

I don't have a watch. What's wrong with that, anyway! They SHOULD give
you a watch icon when they fail to start! The idea is that you go and
look and see what they are complaining about. You, I imagine.

Remaining stupidity snipped - for my health.
