I'd say it's not the best news reader, but certainly useable. The nntp
support seems to have been an afterthought...A very nice email client, and
oh yeah, it does news too.

Odd that you've had problems with imap, since Sylpheed seems to be one of
the easiest to configure that I've seen...Any specific errors reported ?
