Help: libphp4.so: undefined symbol:unixd_config

I installed PHP-4.3.3 and modified httpd.conf. Now when I start httpd,
I get: " cannot load /etc..../libphp4.so into server. ... libphp4.so:
undefined symbol: unixd_config ". What do I do to correct this? I was
using PHP3 ok, but I needed to recompile for MySQL support, so I
installed PHP4 with mysql and apxs support. Now I get this error.
