I've been burning writable CD's under Linux using xcdroast for some time
now. I have an ancient 4x writer which has been, up to this point, a real
champ. However, ever since I installed Fedora Core 1 on that box, I
haven't been able to successfully burn a CD. Unfortunately, I don't have
another box to try the burner, so I don't know if the problem is due to a
sudden failure of the CD writer, or if there was something which went
wrong with the kernel drivers. I can still mount and read CD's on that
drive, which tells me it isn't completely toasted, but I get strange
errors when I try to write anything.

Has anyone else had problems with writing to older SCSI CD-R drives with
the latest Fedora install?
