I'm still using old reliable "pine" (v 4.44), but it's giving me an
occasional problem. Every now and then I get an email which pine refuses
to open. Instead I get some kind of "illegal characters" which pine can't
handle.
I used to go read my /var/spool mail file with 'tail' and 'less' until I
discovered that mozilla-mail could read them (as I pop stuff to local
using fetchmail).
These emails seem to contain some kind of html formatting. And often,
they're business correspondence, which I need to read, not junk mail, and
from enough different places that I know there's some email client(s)
out there that dorks things up.
Anyone else encountered this? What do you suppose is going on?
