No it won't:

A primary partition overlaps (and seems to be contained inside ) an
extended partition.Partitioning tools would either freeze up or declare
that there's a disk error and offer to fix the problem for you. The NT
disk administrator would do strange things (with resultant loss of data)
when presented with a disk that is even slightly out of the ordinary.
