It's possible to change the limit from two to a higher value but you
need to edit the registry. I read about it a long time ago in PCW (a
British comp mag). It's an Internet Explorer Limit defined in the
registry. Try doing a search for "internet explorer" and "simultaneous
downloads".

Before Windows crashed again (my daughter would do a hard reset when she
wanted to log onto her account - Windows gradually died after a week of
this), I had it setup for eight simultaneous downloads but now can't
remember the source of information. I now only use the mags to keep the
bed propped up.
