Here's a new one. In KDE 3.2 I can't seem to get Konqueror to release the CD.
If I put in a CD, right click on mount, right click on unmount, and right
click on eject all is well.
BUT... if I click on CD icon to open, it opens in Konqueror. That's good. I
want it to.
When I close Konqueror, I can't right click and eject.... even if I first
unmout. Even the terminal eject command does not work.
You have to wait a few minutes and some process somewhere releases the damn
thing.
In the new Konq (Setting/Performance) you can set "stored instances" greater
than zero. It defaults to 1. I set it back to zero and the time it takes for
Konq to release the CD is much less. But IMO there should be no wait at all.
What a PITA.
I've looked in mtab, fuser and everywhere else for help, but so far I have not
pinned it down.
Anyone have any ideas?
(('m not using automount.... this is a "pure Slack 9.1 install with a total
update via swaret (went fine.)
I know this idea of CD being "held" sound dumb... but I've been testing it all
morning and this is what is happening TTBOMK.
