The post won't let me quote previous responses, so, I will restate for
comments.
Disk config
/dev/hda1 swap
/dev/hda5 Mandrake-9.1
/dev/hda6 not in use
/dev/hda7 Debian/testing
Since the answer to more than one distro was yes, so I installed
debian on /dev/hda7 (as it also uses lilo..)
Adding to an entry in /etc/lilo.conf (for Mandrake-9.1 and untouched)
of the form
image=/boot/vmlinuz-2.6.5
label="debian"
root=/dev/hda7
initrd=/boot/initrd.img-2.6.5
appned="debian kernel options"
read-only
and an attempt to run /sbin/lilo results in error
Fatal: open /boot/vmlinuz-2.6.5: No such file directory
What is the way out? Am I intsalling debian wrong wrong?
