I just built a dual boot xp/fedora core one system. All seems well so far but I
have a general question that I'm sure, since I'm a dummy at Linux, most can
answer here.
On bootup of Winxp I get the flash screen a quick flash or two of text and then
the desktop is loaded quickly... 10-20 seconds or there abouts. On Fedora bootup
I get a testing type sequence of text, a flash screen with a moving bar that
loads a whole bunch of stuff like mouse consoles etc...then a flash screen with
more icons loading up and finally the desktop... over a minute.
If this is pretty normal then that's ok, I just want to make sure I did
everything correctly. Everything does seem to run great.
