Dunno' if that analogy fits...

A-HA! An objective reason for disliking this particular news client! Thank
you. Yes, my reader defaults to top-posting. To be honest with you I
hadn't even thought about trying to change it, you get used to "that's how
it is" and work with what ya' got.

Nobody, including myself, said anything about having to use it... it's my
choice as you say. Given the single valid reason (above) I've heard for
disliking Outlook, and also given that I seem to have worked around the
top-posting thing quite nicely, I find that the degree of criticism (see
poster below, calling me not just an idiot but insane as well, ha ha ha ha
ha!) does not match the scale of the event, know what I mean? Do you?

Out of curiosity, which news clients are "approved" by the "linux purists"?
I used Netscape's news client for years but find it takes about three times
as long to load as my Outlook client. It is truly unfortunate that
Microsoft applications run better on Microsoft OS's as fools like me are
sometimes unwilling (but, please note, often ARE willing) to accept lower
performance in exchange for not feeding the beast.

Take 'r easy or any way you can.
