Amusingly enough, one of my clients uses W2k3 for an internal exchange
server, and the usual AD crap. I monitor that box (along with the
workhorse Linux servers) using Nagios, I had to turn off the
notifications of the W2K3 server going down (or at least, becoming
unresponsive) because it does so about every 3-4 days for about 10-20
mins. Nothing in the logs, the MS-Windows admin (a competent guy, he
just like MS-Windows) has no idea why it does it. It just does it.

Microsoft, the closest thing to non-determinism in a computer.

SUN has a serious multiple personality wrt Linux, it's going to hurt
them in the long run.

Sun needs to decide if they are a hardware company, or a service
company, or both, but the OS company business, is going the way of the
buggy whip manufacturers. Adapt or die.
