Hummingbird with SuSE 9.1/KDE

I installed HB Exceed 8.0 on a laptop to connect to linux. However, I have
a lot of problems with dialog boxes not displaying, or displaying blank
after a long delay. I am using the default options on Exceed.

Does anyone know of any Exceed tweaks specific to linux to make it behave
better? I also use Reflection with no problem. I want to use Exceed
because it recognizes the mouse wheel.
