I use Earthlink, and none of their software. They are pretty good
for a Linux Runner that just wants a gateway onto the Internet. I
have a dialup account (PPP) with unlimited usage for 21.95/month.

They now offer limited support for Linux under "Other
Os's". Their web interfaces *stink* but I don't need any tech
support from them, in the usual sense of the word.

Their bureaucrocacy is a fucking *nightmare* of technically
ignorant office drones trying to evade taking the responsibility
for anything.

support@earthlink.net or newssupport@earthlink.net will just
make you crazy...

But if you know what you are doing, they are perfect. I've
been bumped from the Internet twice in 3 years, and couldn't
access news.west.earthlink.net for a couple of minutes, twice.
