    Hey;

    I just loaded Mandrake 10 on a new Dell Precision M60 laptop. I'm
    downloading a few things to finish off the install and on one of them
    I have a choice between 32 bit and 64 bit versions. I'm assuming
    it's a 32 bit system, however, I realized that I don't know how
    to verify that on a Linux system in general and a Mandrake 10.0
    system in particular...

    Here's the particulars as the system sees it:

    $ cat /proc/cpuinfo
    processor : 0
    vendor_id : GenuineIntel
    cpu family : 6
    model : 8
    model name : Pentium III (Coppermine)
    stepping : 10
    cpu MHz : 996.847
    cache size : 256 KB
    fdiv_bug : no
    hlt_bug : no
    f00f_bug : no
    coma_bug : no
    fpu : yes
    fpu_exception : yes
    cpuid level : 2
    wp : yes
    flags : fpu vme de pse tsc msr pae mce cx8 apic sep mtrr \
            pge mca cmov pat pse36 mmx fxsr sse
    bogomips : 1978.36

    Thanks for any hints/tips/suggestions.

    Doug
