All those programs run better on Linux, they tend to need hacks to get them
to fit in the Windows scheme of things. It also helps to have a non-Windows
platform to test web pages on other browsers and operating systems. Too
many developers still only check with IE.

Do you mean hours or days? If 67 hours is an achievement then something is
seriously wrong. Even my Win2K machine at work will do several weeks
between reboots. I think I've managed something over 200 days before the
power went out before now and even that is not much.

One thing you haven't touched upon is security. Linux currently has far less
hassle with dodgy worms and other nasties that can be contracted from an
internet feed.
