Hi,
I have RH8.0 Linux. When I log in (KDE) I get the following error:
"An error occurred while loading or saving configuration information
for rhn-applet. Some of your configuration settings nay not work
properly"
In the details it says: "Failed to contact configuration server, some
possible causes are that you need to enable TCP/IP networking for
ORBit, or you have stale NFS locks due to a system crash. (Details -
1: IOR file '/home/.../.gconfd/lock/Ior' not opened successfully, no
gconfd located: No such file or directory. 2: IOR file
'/home/.../.gconfd/lock/Ior' not opened successfully, no gconfd
located: No such file or directory."
I'm not sure I can understand what it's saying. Can someone suggest
what may be wrong and what to do to correct it?
Thanks
Svilen
