sony netmd on redhat FC2

    Hi, has anybody had any joy getting a sony netmd player to work on
    redhat FC2 ? I can see the netmd (when I do a hardware browse) as a
    system device.
    My question is how do you talk to it? I have installed gnetmd 0.6.1 but
    that does not see the device. Do you have to mount the netmd first? if
    so how? as it does not seem to appear in dmesg apart from the following
    line:
    usb 1-1.1: new full speed USB device using address 7
