What kernel? What driver? What CPU(s)?
What speed did you set the disks to in the scsi bios? Turn them to
10MBs.
What options did you give the driver?
Personally I hate adaptec 79xxx cards. 2940 is old isn't it? Is that
the old pci card, from before the 160MBs standards?
