I can see why you think that, but no, you just caught me in a pissy mood
and I looked at your uninformed advice as being even less informed than
my own current level of knowledge. I got annoyed with your alphageek
tone. I'm over it. I still think youre full of beans.

I found lots of good advice somewhere else (as well as on this thread),
including step-by-step how-to's. That's advice I can take to the bank
(which if you've got to run a digital media lab on $5,000 /year, is
important)... With the info helpful people sent me in the past 2 days, a
couple of my students and I can take on building this new server as a
project next semester ...

Mind you, I'm a busy guy.. I've got 30-40 PCs to support, 220 users, I
teach 4 complete digital media lab curricula, DIgital Graphics & ANim,
VIdeo Tech, Compu Sci & Compu Lit. In Compu Lit I'm teaching 11 year
olds neural networks using Bug Brain (go google for it, you'll be glad
you did). I'd like to see you try juggling all those balls in the air at
the same time...

The nastygrams I got from other posters has been totally over the top.
Dr. Dheeman is yet another of you Linux l337 types who won't come down
from your mountain top & clearly think less of those who don't have the
time to tinker or are in a big GD hurry and need results NOW.
