I heard from someone today that you need to specify the following dev to
cdrecord.. atapi:/dev/hdX
I intend to try it soon.. I was complaining that using ide-scsi really sucks
when playing DVDs and you cannot set DMA with hdparm.. this was the
response. YMMV.
(sorry I don't have alt.os.linux.debian so cannot reply to it)
