I'd second the support for Ubuntu. I've been messing with Linux for about
18 months before tanking Windows completely...for Ubuntu. I still keep
Knoppix around (great for fixing problem computer - friends machines, my
Ubuntu is working very well).
In the end, it is still personal preference. Ubuntu is only ONE CD to
download and install. Give it a try!
