My sound system just died and I thought I could se a linux system to
replace it. There seems to be a lot of possibilities (like using the
ati tv wonder, etc) but one thing bugs me: I do not want to wait for
linux to boot each time I want to listen to music. On the other hand,
I do not want the machine to be working full spin 24/7, for energy and
parts conservation. MY question is: Is there a reliable way to put
linux on standby (prefereably suspend to ram) and is is possible to
resume if there is some activity on the USB port (like if I start
using the ati remote, which is connected to the USB port).
Thanks
Jean-Claude
If this is not the best newsgroup for that question, could you please
direct me to the right one.
