hallo!

i am trying to install linux slackware 3.1 on a thinkpad 720c with
esdi 120mb hard disk.
unfortunately i do not manage to get the system boot from the hd, but
only using the bootdisk/rootdisk (via ramdisk).

i have already the basic system installed on my hd, but when i try to
install lilo, i get the error message "map segment is too big" and the
installation fails.

if i try to boot using loadlin from a dos partition (currently
bootable) i get asked to insert the a rootdisk.

can anyone help me out to understand what i do wrong?
any help is apreciated.

thanks in advance,
gian
